Rehab Ready Recovery Rooms

Walton is pleased to now offer private, rehab ready rooms. The rooms offer large accommodations that provide our patients the ability to do rehab in their room. Several of the rooms have ambulation bars and mirrors (used in therapy) so patients can hold onto the bar without losing balance, and mirrors enable patients to look at themselves in the mirror instead of looking down when watching their feet.

The large bathrooms provide access to the toilets on both sides so that nursing staff or family can assist patients and the roll-in showers accommodate patients in chairs. The sink, soap dispenser and paper towel dispenser operate automatically to assist those who may have difficulty using them.

The rooms are decorated with soothing colors and the large windows allow natural sunlight to flow into the rooms.

Each room is equipped with a 32-inch, flat screen television.

Some of the rooms are equipped with bariatric equipment (beds) and LIKO lifts, which are attached in the ceiling to help patients get in and out of the bed or into a chair. Bariatric lifts are used for spinal cord injury patients and obese patients up to 800 lbs.

All of the rooms are equipped with a chair that converts to a bed to allow a place for visitors to sleep.
