Walton Foundation Funds New Equipment for Walton Rehabilitation
Augusta, GA—The Walton Foundation for Independence Board of Directors recently approved more than $11,000 in new equipment to help support programs benefiting patients and families at Walton Rehabilitation Health System.
These include:
- Pool lift to assist patients with spinal cord and other injuries or disorders during aquatic therapy at the Walton Outpatient Therapy Center;
- Supplies for the Bill S. Monge Horticultural Center, which provides garden therapy for residents at Walton West Transitional Living Center;
- A Hoyer lift, which assists caregivers at Harison Heights, Walton’s assisted and independent living community, when transferring patients.
Since 1998, Walton Foundation for Independence has raised more than $3.5 million with one goal in mind – to bring people with physical challenges closer to independence and to a meaningful life with their family, friends and communities.
