Legendary Golfer Billy Casper Joins Adaptive Golf Challenge Kickoff on Masters Monday

Augusta, GA— Legendary golfer and 1970 Masters champion Billy Casper will help kick off the State Farm Adaptive Golf Challenge, presented by Walton Foundation for Independence, on Monday, April 5 at 9 a.m.

            Casper, who started playing golf at age 5 and ranks number 6 on the PGA Tour’s all-time victory list with 51 titles, will be given a proclamation by Mayor Deke Copenhaver during the adaptive challenge kickoff, declaring it “Billy Casper Day” in Augusta, Ga. Later that evening, Casper will also be given the key to the city during the annual Mayor’s Masters Reception at the Augusta Common in downtown Augusta.

            The kickoff to the State Farm Adaptive Golf Challenge, presented by the Walton Foundation, is from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the First Tee of Augusta. During the kickoff, nationally recognized golfers with disabilities will also demonstrate precision and trick shots during a mini-clinic.
