Augusta, GA—Beth Miller, Vice President of Walton Community Services, was recently named Citizen of the Year during an awards ceremony at the National Association of Social Workers-Augusta Unit’s annual conference. Miller was honored for her ongoing work to develop a continuum of accessible independent and assisted living centers for people with acquired disabilities and for seniors. As Vice President of Walton Community Services, Miller oversees Walton West Transitional Living Center, Harison Heights independent and assisted living and more than 10 affordable/accessible apartment complexes throughout the CSRA. Miller is also chair of the Walton Community Advisory Board and works with other local agencies to coordinate programs and services, including a project to coordinate community vocational services. She is a member of the Senior Citizens Advisory Council, CSRA Regional Transportation Advisory Board and Region Seven Transportation Needs Assessment and Grant Preparation Committee.
