Dr. Jennifer M.J. Yang Joins the Walton Rehabilitation Health System Team

Augusta, GAJennifer M.J. Yang, MD, recently joined the rehabilitation team at Walton Rehabilitation Health System.
 
            Dr. Yang is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who is specially trained in spinal cord injuries. She will work with inpatients who have medical and functional issues as well as follow outpatients as they transition into living at home and in the community.
 
            Dr. Yang earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Philippines College of Medicine in Manila, Philippines. After completing a residency in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn., she completed additional training as a clinical fellow in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center, and performed research as an advanced spinal cord injury fellow at the VA Pittsburgh Health System’s Human Engineering Research Laboratories.
 
            Dr. Yang is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a subspecialty in spinal cord injury medicine, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists, American Paraplegic Society and the American Spinal Injury Association.
