Evans Earns Medical Providers Workers’ Compensation Professional Designation

Augusta, GA—Shantay Evans, Outpatient Case Manager at Walton Rehabilitation Health System’s Outpatient Therapy Center, has recertified her Certified Workers’ Compensation Professional (CWCP) credential by earning the Medical Providers Workers’ Compensation Professional (MPWCP) designation.

More than 200 Georgia employers, insurers and third-party administrators participate in the CWCP program. Some of the benefits of the program are to: promote professionalism in the industry; improve communication; gain a better understanding of forms and procedures; gain a better understanding of the roles of the adjuster, employer, injured employee, medical provider and Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation; gain better understanding of the Workers’ Compensation Act; and retain satisfied customers/clients.

Evans has been employed as the Outpatient Case Manager at Walton for one and a half years. She also holds a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, a Certificate of Graduate Study in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and the designation of CRC, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Her background is vocational rehabilitation.
