Dr. Andrew Dennison Is New Brain Injury Specialist at Walton

Augusta, GA—Andrew Cullen Dennison, M.D., has joined the staff at Walton Rehabilitation Health System as a specialist in brain injury.

Dr. Dennison will treat patients recovering from brain injury and stroke, from hospitalization to rehabilitation to reintegration into the community. In addition to general training in the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation with developed skills in electrodiagnostic medicine, non-operative orthopedics, pain control, spinal cord injury and prosthetics/orthotics, Dr. Dennison’s interests include neuropharmacology, spasticity management and the application of the newest discoveries of neuroscience to the field of rehabilitation.

After attending medical school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Dr. Dennison completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Baylor College of Medicine/University of Texas-Houston PM&R Alliance in Houston, Tex. He also completed a fellowship in Traumatic Brain Injury at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Dennison is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is an active member in the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
