Making a DifferenceCurrently, one out of every six people is somehow touched by a disability. Through, Walton Foundation multiple programs and services are supported which bring hope to people with physical challenges. Take a look at some of these amazing programs and let us know if you would like to your donation to exclusively help any particular program or service. And, remember to look at our Current Campaigns section for more information on specific capital projects. Camp TBI (To Be Independent) – A week-long overnight summer camp for children who have sustained a traumatic brain injury. These children enjoy activities such as fishing, arts and crafts, horseback riding, and a ropes course! GOALLS (Going Over and Above Life’s Limitations Successfully) – A recreational therapy program for individuals with all ages who have special needs and challenges. The program includes such activities as adaptive golf, adaptive tennis, wheelchair soccer, and adaptive water skiing. We have recently celebrated the victories of the Walton Blazing Bulldogs swim and basketball teams! Helping Hands – This community-focused program provides financial assistance for individuals with disabilities to obtain needed equipment, supplies, or services for which there is no other funding source. The Bill Monge Horticultural Center – This greenhouse offers Walton clients unique vocational therapy as they see the seeds of the labor become beautiful flowers or tasty herbs. Flowers and herbs from the greenhouse are available for purchase.
