Brain Injury Awareness Walk

First annual 5K walk organized by brain injury survivors of the Walton Brain Injury Support Group. Open to all those interested in walking to show their support and raise awareness of life with a brain injury. First 100 walkers will receive a T-shirt. Georgia Artists With Disabilities Juried Art Show

The exhibit showcases drawings, paintings, sculpture and more created by artists with physical disabilities throughout the state of Georgia. The exhibit opens on First Friday, April 2 and runs through the end of April. Works from past years’ shows housed in Walton’s permanent collection are also on display. Kick off your family’s spring break with a Precision Golf Demonstration and Mini-Clinic presented by the Walton Foundation for Independence. Trick golfer Dennis Walters, who is paralyzed from the waist down, and PGA Master Professional Brad Clayton, a right-arm amputee, prove that ability is not defined by disability as they demonstrate trick and precision shots to kick off the 6th annual State Farm Adaptive Golf Challenge.
