Headache Specialist Walton Rehabilitation Health System has an opportunity for a BC/BE Neurologist with fellowship training or expertise in Headache Neurology to join the Walton Pain and Headache Center. This dedicated center has an excellent reputation and growing referral base. Additional physician coverage and expertise is desired to meet demand and programmatic development. WRHS is part of a large medical community consisting of academic, tertiary, primary and specialty health providers. Augusta is a beautiful mid-size community with many large amenities. Excellent location for families or pre-retirement living. Excellent proximity to many resort and travel destinations. Case Manager Coordinate the rehabilitation program for assigned clients to assure that the needs of the patient, family, and payor are met. Areas of responsibility include: patient and family assessment; appropriate utilization of resources; completion of IRF-PAI; facilitate merging of team, patient, and payor goals; keeping families informed of progress and funding issues; leading team conferences; and coordinating discharge planning process. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in clinical specialty with CRRN preferred. Certified Case Manager preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of insurance reimbursement with a minimum of one year case management experience with preference of experience in medical rehabilitation. Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively address the needs of patients, families, and funding representatives. Must be proficient in computer software: word, spreadsheets, data forms. Must have ability to organize information and process for leading the team conference.
Therapy Director, Inpatient Under the supervision of the Patient Care Administrator, the Therapy Director assures consistent delivery of high quality therapy within the Inpatient Hospital. Coordinates and monitors patient care provided by PT’s, PTA’s, OT’s, COTA’s, SLP’s, Psychologist and rehab aides. Oversees the activities of the beautician. Accountable for daily patient management and decisions. Works collaboratively with physicians, the nurse manager, and other department managers to meet the needs of the rehab patient. Bachelor's degree in clinical specialty, Master's preferred. 3 years management experience, 5 years clinical experience - rehab, and licensed PT, OT, or SLP in Georgia
Physical Therapist – Full-time - Intpatient $7500 SIGN ON BONUS
$3500 RELOCATION
Physical Therapists are responsible for providing excellent customer service and evaluating and providing quality physical therapy procedures to patients across the life span of which therapist has primary responsibility. Documents treatments and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings.
PRN Physical Therapist Weekend $50/hr - Intpatient Weekend rate: Must commit to work 2 Saturdays a month (8 hour shifts). Physical Therapists are responsible for providing excellent customer service and evaluating and providing quality physical therapy procedures to patients across the life span of which therapist has primary responsibility. Documents treatments and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings. Carries a 100% caseload.
Resident Associate – Harison Heights Must be flexibile in work schedule, able to rotate betweeen Day and Evening Shifts. Provides personal care and assists residents of a 14 bed assisted living facility. Duties include: medical care, transportation, cleaning of resident rooms and facility, assistance with activities of daily living, treatment and personal needs. Certified Nursing Assistant, current CPR certification, First Aide Card, and acceptable driving record are required. Newly graduated CNA's are welcome!
Registered Nurse – Inpatient 0.6 FTE Rotating Shift. Assist patients/families across the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older population to adapt to an altered lifestyle while providing a therapeutic environment for their development. The rehabilitation registered nurse designs and implements treatment strategies that are based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care and promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health. Participate in patient teaching and team conferences. Provide leadership and guidance to the members of the nursing team while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Role models the Walton Rehabilitation Hospital values (excellence, customer focus, advocacy, professionalism, creativity and innovation, stewardship, positive approach) and code of conduct as a professional. Requires 6 months of med/surg or rehab experience, A.D.N., licensed as a Georgia Registered Nurse and CPR certified.
Licensed Practical Nurse – Inpatient Full-time and Part-time available. Rotating Shifts. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse Team Leader, delivers patient care across the pediatric, adolescent, adult and older adult populations. Assist patients/families to adjust to an altered lifestyle while providing a therapeutic environment for their development. Follows the treatment care plan, reassesses the patient and advises the registered nurse of any changes. Participates in patient/family teaching and assists in the discharge plan. Role models the Walton Rehabilitation Hospital values (excellence, customer focus, advocacy, professionalism, creativity and innovation, stewardship and positive approach) and code of conduct as a health care provider. Requires 6 months of med/surg or rehab experience, L.P.N. diploma, licensed as a Georgia L.P.N., and CPR certified.
Enviornmental Service Technician Full-time/days. M-F 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and every other weekend 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Environmental Services Technician is expected to perform a variety of duties for the cleaning of the buildings owned by Walton Rehabilitation Hospital. Routinely mop floors, vacuum carpeting, maintain a dust free environment, clean and disinfect walls and furniture, clean and disinfect bathrooms, remove trash and soiled linen and perform any other duties that are necessary to keep the targeted areas to an acceptable level. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years experience as hospital housekeeper, janitor or enviornmental service tech and ability to operate motorized cleaning equipment.
Life Skills Teacher –Walton West Full-time. Flexible Schedule. Teaching TBI or related injury clients in all aspects of self-care, community and work re-entry. Providing a safe and enriching environment for clients with physical and verbal behavior problems. Maintaining and planning for the operation of the facility. Requirements: high school diploma, current CPR and First Aide certifications, and one year experience working with traumatic brain injury patients.
Psychology Department Director - Full-time Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer and in coordination with the Neuro Medical Director and Executive Director of Walton Community Services, facilitates the development, planning, and quality of neuro-rehabilitation programs throughout the Walton Continuum of care. The Director serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary treatment team of physicians and other caregivers to ensure the most effective care of patients across the continuum: Inpatient, outpatient, day treatment, wellness, and in transitional/assisted living settings. Manages all clinical, and quality functions of Walton West TLC and provides oversight and assistance with administrative and operational functions when appropriate. As an advanced practitioner with expertise in neuro-rehabilitation, contributes to the rehabilitation field and to continuous improvement of patient care through involvement in clinical support, education, research, organizational support and professional development. Responsible for planning and coordinating rehabilitation program activities, program evaluation, development of related policies and procedures, quality assurance, patient services, public relations activities, and research. Serves as the Institutional Human Protections Administrator and chairs the Institutional Research Review Committee.
