• Dysphagia is the decreased ability to swallow food and/or liquids due to an impairment of the lips, tongue, jaw, throat, or esophagus.
• Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) is a definitive study for the evaluation of the swallowing mechanism.
• Speech Therapists evaluate and develop and individualized treatment plan for these patients to improve their swallowing ability.
